Guys it’s gonna be really hard for me to afford my rent and I have to make the first payment next week and it’s $660 and we don’t know where that money is coming from yet.
I have $92 in my checking account right now and like my dad’s having the “p.s. you’re an adult so it’s time to have the conversation with you about how we don’t really have money and i don’t know what to do about that just yet”
I wish I had any artistic talent so I could do commissions but really my only skills are editing/proofreading/writing tutoring/research so I guess like
- if you’re in summer school and have papers due
- or if you’re a fanfiction writer
- or working on your first book
- or just want some help with writing or something
- or need a research lackey because you’re writing a story and you need a lot of research done
i’m a writing tutor and have been an encyclopedia editor and i’m the executive editor of a newspaper and i do academic research for fun and have access to a butt-ton of databases and research shit because college
and if anyone has any other suggestions for things i could do to make money that don’t involve me taking my clothes off because don’t worry i’ve already thought of it
i would appreciate it
because i don’t have a job this summer and i don’t want this to be a struggle when i already have to worry about loans for grad school like i’d at least like to be able to pay my rent
